Founder & Principal

Illumine Transportation founder Kevin Lee has focused on multimodal traffic signal operations for nearly 20 years, successfully leading projects that encompass planning, designing, and evaluating context-sensitive solutions in transportation networks. His expertise focuses on working with multiple stakeholders to plan for and implement user-focused preferential treatments along urban corridors.

Kevin’s areas of specialty include multimodal intelligent transportation systems (ITS) technologies, traffic signal systems and operations, emerging technologies, system performance, transit-preferential treatments, transit signal priority, pedestrian and bicycle treatments, and traffic engineering. He strives to identify implementable solutions that meet user needs, which bridges the gaps across research, planning, design, and operations.
